My first grade students are creative, self motivated learners. Our school is in a middle class neighborhood, the majority of our families have both parents working and many of the kids go to the after school day care every day. Our school gets virtually no extra funding in comparison to Title I Schools. We rely on parent donations, but over the years this has become increasingly difficult for our families.
