I teach art in a Young 5s through 1st Grade building. I have approximately 430 students, equally mixed with boys and girls, with a variety of backgrounds. I have a variety of cultures and religions in my class. Many are from lower income families, who struggle to put food on the table and don't always have time to enrich their child's education. The children have a hard time focusing, so art is a great way to help them focus, listen, and get them excited about learning.
