Students will use the root viewers to see how the roots of different plants grow the same and different.
They will learn that ladybugs are a "good" insect and distinguish between the insects that benefit and harm a garden. Students will learn the life cycle of a ladybug as they view it in the ladybug grow kit.
The thermometer and wind vane will be used by each class to record those results in the school garden. Students can use those science tools to compare the results that the class before them recorded. They will note if there was a change in temperature and wind direction.
They will learn about the cardinal directions and patterns of the wind direction using the weather vane. The outdoor thermometer will be used as a measurement tool to learn what those little lines mean between the measurements.
