Our students are wonderful kids who are in the fifth grade in Cape Carteret, NC. We have 140 Fifth Graders who are studying science topics, weather, biomes, and conservation. Every year I sponsor a Rain Garden Club where we work on Education in Ecology and Conservation so that we protect the waters in the area surrounding our school and the inter coastal waterway. This is a public school which provides education to all who live in the area. The 5th graders who work in the club after school volunteer to take care of the grounds. The kids work hard and we are in need of funding for a new greenhouse which will help us to continue our conservation project. Because our school budget is so tight we are looking for alternative sources to help us with energy and for the greenhouse to continue our Ecology and Water Conservation project.
