Throughout 2020, the remote learning environment has cultivated a new host of issues. For many students, school has become a sterile, isolated, and boring experience. The learning curve of technology is steep, the distractions at home are great, and the in-person lessons just do not translate through a computer screen. It has been heart-breaking to see students battle intense anxiety and sink deeper and deeper into depression.
Your donations will bring excitement back into education once again! The classroom for me has always been a place of laughter and joy. It is a safe-haven where students can share, support, and grow. Despite intense effort, however, this has been extremely hard to recreate in the digital classroom. Your support would help me bring excitement back to education again!
The Teachers-Pay-Teachers store has many engaging and exciting activities and lessons created by teachers that have training and experience in digital learning. Although I have been trying to learn as much as I can to reach my kiddos, the transition to teaching online is merely impossible overnight!
In class, we use many visuals and hands-on activities to comprehend the material and activate new vocabulary. With your support recreating a similar educational experience, only digitally, would be possible! Students could assume new roles with reader's theater activities and collaborate in escape rooms that challenge them to recall and apply information. Participation in digital games will give them a personalized and differentiated assessment of their learning, while a language-based DIGITAL history curriculum will captivate their interest and bring learning to life through the screen. Children need to love learning again, help me reignite the passion to learn!
