Some of my students are working on language while others are building math, reading, and writing skills. There are various levels of need, strengths and weaknesses. The students genuinely appreciate having a variety of ways to learn and practice new skills. These supplies and activities will be used in various centers throughout the classroom as well as in small group learning. My goal is to enhance every center and enrich daily activities. Our small group lessons are generally activity based and we avoid pencil and paper tasks. Invariably though, there are times in kindergarten and pre-k when it is necessary to write things down. That is why I want to integrate small motor skills while they are working on puzzles and building. I look forward to sparking their interest and creating opportunities for developing language and building vocabulary.
