Our school of over 500 students may look large but we are one big, happy family. It is okay to come hungry or not have a pencil because we will get you food and give you all the tools to be successful. Do we struggle? Yes, we do but we are capable! With the right support, the students can succeed. Our recycled computer lab has computers but no headphones or ink for the students to use. Students want to create math stories and print them out to share with their families. Many of the 3rd grade students are also struggling readers. By hearing what the computer programs are saying, they can better understand the topic. By following up a math lesson with a fun, interactive math game, students will remember more. They are capable and will be more successful with the right tools.
