My students come from a low-income community, but have a drive to learn music and be a part of our local music programs. Our administration is so supportive of the arts (and music in particular), but we still have holes in funding in the area of string education. Since we are beginning a new course, there are many students who do not currently own their own instruments, so we hope to be able to provide violas, cellos, and double basses for students to borrow.
