I proudly work in a Title I school, located in a predominately Spanish speaking, high needs community, in Northern California. My school provides a positive environment, in which students can grow intellectually, feel safe, and be nurtured. We provide a place of stability and consistency for our students who may be missing those basic needs at home.
I teach 64 amazing fifth grade students. Most of my students are English Language Learners, with a Spanish or Vietnamese language background. I also have the pleasure of teaching an inclusion class as well as newcomers to the United States.
My students can be described as energetic and eager to learn. They love engaging projects and hands-on activities. I am very passionate about incorporating engineering and computer science into my curriculum. Critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and perseverance are key skills that I try to build into my lessons daily.
