My students are high-poverty students who do not see the relevance of science in their lives. Too many of my students associate school with end of course tests rather than learning. In the day of age of accountability tests, science and exploration have been placed on the back burner. Deep down, my students want to learn and understand the purpose of school. Real science tools will be the beginning of the process.
